If I could only share one thing with you about me it would be that I like people. Where would this world be without people - people just like you and me? I "like" people in general; but the best thing is to work with good people on a team; learning and having fun! Did you see that I used the "W" word, "work?" Work is not a bad thing, especially when you share the work with other people you like to be with and with whom you share common interests. Some of the common interests I look for in other people are things like their desire to learn and help others succeed, while they become more successful at the same time, too. Another thing I really like are SMART people. Smart people listen and learn and then use that knowledge to make life better for themselves and for others. I'd like to think that I am one of those kinds of people, but there are many other people out there smarter than me. Maybe you are one of them. That's why I'm glad you came to my website today - maybe you'd like to work with "smart" people, too!
 
Aside from that I'm busy with a full-time job, a wife of 28 years, and my father who is 83 years old. That takes a lot of my time, but I make time to work on a business that I own - where I'm the boss, and where I succeed or fail due to my own efforts. I have a lot of friends, who are in business for themselves, and they help me out all the time - I couldn't do it without them. All I have to do is pick up the phone, and one of them is there to help. I try to keep learning new and better ways to achieve things. That's very important - to keep learning and trying new things, to stimulate the brain and not get stuck in a "rut." I do other things, too. That's one of the benefits of owning your own business. Once you get it up and going, you can create more free time for yourself. I like to travel, I like good food, I hike and backpack. I also go hunting with my father. We both like to be out-of-doors. I like to read and enjoy a good movie with my wife. I love music and art and now I have time to snow ski.
 
The best thing about having my own business is just that - it's MY OWN BUSINESS. I'm not working for someone else, but for myself and my family. In addition to the joy that comes from having your own business (and no boss), there are lots of other benefits, too. If you do things right, you may get some tax benefits from having your own business. You set your own goals and are responsible only to yourself if you meet them or not. You work when you want to and you play when you want to. There are other people in the same type business as mine, and we get together and share ideas and solve problems and have some fun, too! There are lots of resources available to me to help me grow my business. Other people who are more experienced will help me out. There is a proven training program and many books, CD's, DVD's, videos and audio files to help you learn and meet your goals. And the business I'm in lets me help other people while making money and gaining satisfaction for a job well done.
 
For me, it all started when I wanted to supplement my paycheck from my full-time regular job with income from my own business part-time. I also wanted to find some work I could do when I retire or go part-time with my current job. The fancy business experts call that an "exit strategy." I call it my "piggy bank." The economy is not what it used to be and my regular wages are down. So I want to add to that with cash from my own business. Having my own business can help on my taxes, too. And I don't think anyone my age thinks they're going to be able to live on just Social Security and Medicare when they retire. So the new business I started gives me a sense of security for the present and also helps me put away some money for retirement. The way things are going, I may quit my regular day job and just work my new business full-time. I know I'd be happier, less stressed-out, and make more money if I were to go into my own new business full-time now, but I'm just not ready to make that big of a change. But I will
