Honestly I didn't understand the power in those words before I started my business. But work is now fun. So is making money. Two great reasons to love this business.

If I could only share one thing with you about me it would be that I was orphaned at the age of 17 and whatever my parents instilled in me, I knew that I had to make my own way in life. Not working has never been an option. Zig Ziglar said "Success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be.” I have tried to do that in my life, working hard to take care of myself and my family. Always pushing myself to be the best. I have made mistakes along the way, marrying the wrong men, not always making the best decisions. But I made it, beating all odds, making my own way in life with no family support. I believe I have led a life I know has made my parents proud. I have had a good career in corporate America and through all the struggles and triumphs, I have bounced back and come out a better person.
 
Aside from that I'm a postmaster by day and an internet marketer at night. I am married to my husband Gary and between us we have 5 children and 4 grandchildren. We currently live in TN. I say currently because I have moved from CA, to TX, to FL, to SC and now to TN with the postal service so obviously traveling is something we like to do, seeing new places and meeting new people. I became interested in Network Marketing because I personally am not secure that social security will be there when my husband and I retire. We all recently watched our 401Ks start losing money, and I knew that we would have to do something else to give us the financial freedom that we want in retirement. I found nothing more powerful than the world of network marketing. I love the business, the people and the unlimited income potential. I love the fact that it is all about people helping people.
 
The best thing about having my own business is my ability to control my own future. Having my own business is not like my corporate America job where no matter how hard I work, my salary stays the same. With my own business, the harder I work, the more I get paid. Financial freedom is entirely up to me and the effort I am willing to put in to it. As I near retirement, network marketing has grabbed my heart, especially multi-level marketing in the health industry. I have a desire to help as many people as I can to achieve a healthy life as well as a life of financial independence. In another Zig Ziglar quote, "You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want." Network marketing is an avenue for anyone to acquire financial freedom by helping others also attain the same thing. There is no other business that I can think of that the has more personal rewards.
 
For me, it all started when I realized that the golden years were not going to be as golden as we planned because we did not have financial freedom. I have a job, but it is just that, a job. It has afforded me a decent living but has not helped us create the financial freedom that we will need to have the kind of retirement that we dreamed about so many years ago when we first joined the work force. I am a baby boomer and we were taught to get an education and get a job. It was not until the market fell that I realized that they forgot to tell us that our income in retirement from our J-O-B would never afford us the kind of retirement that we had planned. The life style that I envision is only created from residual income. After educating myself to network marketing, and discovering how much income you can create and how much fun you can have, I knew this was the business I wanted to build. It is a business I would like to partner with you to build.
