If we could only share one thing with you about us it would be I have been self-employed for 17 years, and I call myself "The Great Emancipator of the 21st Century." This includes consulting, public speaking, and network marketing. You can be set free from the bondage of employment, too. I partner with my wife, Shirley, a top-notch teacher with 35 years of classroom experience, to help people prosper and succeed in their own businesses. I married her in 2002.
 
Aside from that we're a grandfather. We have adult children ranging in ages from 30 to 38. We have five grandchildren combined. We are both born again Christians. Our hobbies are extensive reading, vigorous daily exercise, and alternative medicine, and Bible study.
 
The best thing about having our own business is we enjoy total freedom from the slavery and futility of employment. We don't have to answer to or take orders from anyone, except the Lord God Almighty. Hence, we can achieve success and joy without negative interferences from employers, naysayers, and the clueless.
 
For us, it all started when my annual six-figure position as Vice President-Marketing Director for a large national financial institution was eliminated in 1987. I had been considering self-employment since 1983, but this was the catalyst. I never wanted an experience like this again.
